We really like bringing our pups here. The park is divided into three sections, based on dog size. Lots of grass for pups, as well as shaded seating areas with benches. Each section is pretty spacious. People also tend to be pretty friendly. Parking might get a little compact if there are other events going on, but typically it's easy to find a spot in the lot.
Three different fenced areas for different sized dogs is great. However, you can never be too careful when dealing with a stranger's animal.
Love this dog park. Close by and they keep it clean. They always have bags for cleanup. Most dogs and owners here are super friendly. They have 3 area suggestions based on dog size. The double gated areas are a huge help in dog wrangling and managing runaways or the hard goodbyes from dog friends.
We go here multiple times a week, and my dog loves it. There are 3 different pens for small, medium, and large dogs. Each are about the same size and are securely fenced in. There are generally a whole mix of (large and small) dogs in the large pen, which is where we go. Medium pen is mostly empty or has 1 or 2 dogs playing fetch with their owners, and the small pen is busy with small dogs. I cant say much about the small pen bc i have a rottweiler, but the large pen is generally good. There are occasional dogs fights but most people know their dog and try to keep it and the other dogs safe. There are really no enforcement officials here you just have to trust other people and their dogs. It gets a little clique-y once you get to know the regulars there but everybody i have met has been very nice, just a little gossipy. I will continue to go to this dog park as long as i am in poway!
